All of our “All Natural” soaps are just that (100% natural). They contain pure therapeutic grade essential oils (some are organic) and natural ingredients like: organic oatmeal, sea kelp, stone ground grits etc. We use extra virgin organic olive oil (EVOOO) as the base oil, along with the extra virgin organic oils of coconut and sustainable palm. We use rosemary oil extract (ROE) as a plant based natural preservative. We make all of our soaps using the cold process method of manufacturing. This insures that the soap creates its own natural glycerin and the essential oils effectiveness is retained (by far the best soap making method). All of our soaps are completely safe to also be used on the face. Many people also use it to wash their hair, and many men use our soaps to shave. The soaps are hand-wrapped in recycled paper with a round label attached.
The quality ingredients that go into this product include the following:
Our base oil is used at a very high percentage of the mix. This beautiful oil is from the olive fruit using cold press extraction and decanting methods. Extremely beneficial for the skin, olive oil contains high levels of vitamins A & E, oleic acid and antioxidants. It also makes a great carrier oil for use with any essential oils. Our premium grade organic extra virgin olive oil penetrates deep into the skin, providing needed moisturizing as well as a shield to protect the skin, keeping it smooth, and due to its high level of antioxidants A & E, it can repair skin damage from sun exposure, cigarette smoke and pollutants.
Used in the base mix of oils, coconut oil is derived from the coconut fruit. This vitamin rich oil is used in body care products for its naturally emollient (softening) and lubricating properties. This gentle oil is naturally antiseptic and antioxidant, making it a great ingredient for the skin. Hydrating and soothing make this oil a perfect addition in skin care.
The palm oil that we source for our soaps is “Certified Sustainable Palm Oil” (CSPO). This oil is produced on palm plantations that have been independently audited and found to comply with the globally agreed environmental standards devised by the Roundtable Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO). Palm oil is derived from the pulp of the fruit of the palm tree. It is red in color due to its high beta-carotene content making it high in antioxidants and extremely good to use in skin care products. Palm oil is good to use in soap as it gives hardness to the bar making it last for a longer period of time.
Rosemary Oleoresin, also known as Rosemary oil extract or ROE is an oil soluble, natural extract of the leaves of the rosemary plant used to retard rancidity in natural oils. Its potent antioxidant properties are attributed in large part to carnosic acid, one of its major constituents. ROE is 100% natural and is the most effective natural preservative to be used in the manufacture of cold process soap.
This is a proprietary essential oil blend to create the 100% natural scent of Amber. This essential oil was created by blending a combination of several different essential oils to create an Amber scent.
Super-concentrated, Vanilla absolute is an extremely aromatic oil extracted from the Vanilla bean. Different from essential oils due to the method they are obtained. Essential oils are collected through steam distillation or cold pressing, while absolutes require a more delicate extraction technique, traditionally called effleurage.
This essential oil is steam distilled to impart a powerful earthy-smoky scent. It blends well with frankincense and myrrh along with patchouli. A very strong scent, this oil is used extensively in aromatherapy and skin care.
Steam distilled from the dried leaves of the Patchouli plant, this rejuvenating oil is invigorating to the skin and the senses. Naturally antibacterial and anti-inflammatory, this fragrant oil is especially useful topically and in aromatherapy. Studies have shown Patchouli essential oil to possess cell-restorative properties and it is particularly helpful for dry and mature skin. Many of our customers really love our Patchouli essential oil as they are familiar with the use of a “Patchouli fragrance” that just doesn't compare.
Frankincense, also called olibanum, is an aromatic resin obtained from the Boswellia tree native to northeastern Africa. Obtained through steam distillation of the dried resin, this essential oil possesses anti-inflammatory properties. Frankincense has been highly regarded for thousands of years, believed to be an effective remedy for a number of ailments. Used today in perfumes and incense, this beautiful aromatic also doubles as a revitalizing skin care ingredient, especially in mature skin.
Myrrh essential oil possesses many of the same properties as Frankincense essential oil. Used in a synergistic combination for thousands of years the antiseptic antioxidant properties are very healing to the skin. While most essential oils are derived from leaves and flowers, Myrrh is much more exotic. It is the resin, similar to a sap, of an African and Middle Eastern tree. We originally offered these oils in our products as a Christmas offering only, but soon found that they were so popular we now offer them year round.
Ground walnut shells that impart a dark brown color and add a slight exfoliate to the soap.
To keep your bar longer, keep it dry between uses. We recommend that you try one of our soap dishes or buy a dish that drains the bar well. Enjoy your soap and just a bit of information, most of our customers say that our soaps usually last about a month per bar.
